St Kilda is on track to regain Jack Bilings in time for Round 16, but is set to be without Nick Coffield for approximately the next four to six weeks.
Coffield suffered a hamstring strain during Friday night’s game against Richmond, with scans confirming the extent of the injury on Saturday.
The young defender was originally selected as the medical sub for Round 15 before Billings’ late withdrawal due to a knee complaint.
Billings – who had suffered a minor knock to his knee at training during the week – will be assessed by club medical staff in the lead-up to St Kilda’s match with Collingwood on Sunday afternoon.
Zak Jones (quad) continues to build towards a senior return and is expected to be available in the coming weeks, while Jack Bytel will continue to be monitored for concussion symptoms during the week.
