St Kilda’s match against Port Adelaide will remain at Marvel Stadium this Saturday afternoon despite Victoria entering a five-day snap lockdown from midnight last night.
The game, which will proceed without crowds, will feature an amended start-time of 1:45pm AEST in order for Port Adelaide to fly in-and-out of Victoria via charter plane.
Saturday afternoon's clash be available to watch on Fox Footy and Kayo (Seven Network SA).
It will be one of three matches to take place in Victoria in Round 18 alongside the fixtures between Melbourne and Hawthorn (MCG) and Collingwood and Carlton (MCG).
St Kilda playing and football staff have been in self-isolation since 6:00pm yesterday evening, and will remain that way with the exception of training and game-day commitments.
The Saints will then head to Perth post-game ahead of the following week’s match against West Coast at Optus Stadium in order to comply with Western Australian Government regulations.
Chief Operating Officer Simon Lethlean said the club was willing to do whatever was necessary in order to keep the season up and running.
"As has been the case throughout COVID, we're embracing any challenges that come our way and will remain adaptable as the fixture continues to evolve," Lethlean said.
"We're in a fortunate position to be able to play this match in Victoria but it isn't lost to us the many hardships the Victorian community again face as we continue to play.
"We look forward to returning back to Melbourne where we hope to take on Carlton at Marvel in front of our loyal fans."
