Born and raised in Malaysia and only having a passing knowledge of football through her football-mad, Perth-born dad, Fiedler was originally drafted to Fremantle during last year’s supplementary draft before opportunity opened east.
With defender Beth Pinchin moved to the inactive list after rupturing her ACL in late June, Fiedler was added to the Saints as an injury replacement player, bringing with her height, raw talent and a lot of upside.
Fiedler featured as the key ruck in the WAFLW state team earlier this year, collecting 22 hit-outs for the match against South Australia.
