St Kilda Football Club has advised Oscar Clavarino and Sam Alabakis that they will not be offered contracts for the 2022 season.
They join retired veterans Dylan Roberton, Shaun McKernan, James Frawley and Jake Carlisle as the club’s initial list changes.
Clavarino was selected by St Kilda with pick No. 35 in the 2017 National Draft. After making his debut against North Melbourne in Round 11 this year, Clavarino pulled on the jumper on for a further four games throughout the season.
Alabakis joined the Saints as a Category B rookie at the end of 2018. The equal-tallest player to ever be on an AFL list, Alabakis did not play a senior game with the club.
Head of List Management James Gallagher thanked both players on behalf of the club.
“While these decisions are part of the business of football, they are never easy,” Gallagher said.
“Both Oscar and Sam are both well-liked players who have really grown and developed during their time with the club.
“We thank them for their dedication to the Saints and wish them all the best for the next chapter in their lives.”
