As the mercury hit close to 40 degrees, over 8,000 people braved the heat to showcase their pride at the 2018 Midsumma Festival Pride March.
The march, which snaked down Fitzroy Street in St Kilda, was a sea of colour as what's believed to have been a record crowd embraced the opportunity to celebrate equality and diversity.

In an outstanding show of camraderie, several AFL supporter groups banded together to form the #AFLPrideCollective.
Included in the collective were the Rainbow Swans, who will no doubt return to Melbourne in June when St Kilda hosts Sydney at Etihad Stadium for the second annual Pride Game in Round 12.
