Tim Membrey will likely line up in Sandringham colours this weekend as St Kilda makes the trip interstate to face Collingwood for Gather Round.

The 29-year-old has been named in the Saints’ extended squad and will be on standby in the event of any late injuries to the side, but is currently slated to go through the VFL in his return from knee surgery.

Sunday afternoon’s match against Frankston will be his first appearance for the Zebras since 2016, where he finished with two goals over Footscray.

Membrey joins newcomers Cooper Sharman and Tom Campbell on the extended bench, with Dan Butler, Marcus Windhager, Zaine Cordy, Ben Paton and Jack Bytel also named.

Bytel will need to pass a fitness test to put himself in selection consideration after escaping serious injury to his ankle moments after being subbed on against Gold Coast.

St Kilda’s final line-up to face Collingwood will be confirmed tomorrow evening at 5:00pm.
