Jack Sinclair will hope to put his hand up for selection this week, with only a main training fitness test standing in his way.
Sinclair, who has been managing a calf niggle for the past month, was ruled out of Round 1 on Thursday morning last week.
“We knew the turnaround between Rounds 1 and 2 was always going to be tough, so ruling out Jack early last week allowed him to fully focus on Round 2,” EGM Football David Misson said.
“While he still has some boxes to tick, we’re hopeful he’ll be available for selection.”

Donate nowDan Butler will also be working towards his first on-field appearance for 2024.
“Like Jack, Dan also has to get through training to make himself available. It’s likely that should he get through, his return to play will be through the VFL, but we’re not ruling anything out just yet.”
Liam Stocker will also have to prove his fitness after a collision with Patrick Dangerfield in the second half of Saturday night’s loss.
Matthew Allison is also set for an extended period on the sidelines after injuring his right MCL in a VFL practice game on Saturday.
“It’s really disappointing for Matty, who has been unable to get a consistent run at it over the past 18 months,” Misson said.
“Fortunately, he’s got a great attitude and we know he’ll diligently attack this new period of rehab.”
