Emmelie Fiedler is officially a Saint, with the club signing her as an injury replacement player for the 2024 AFLW season.
Previously on Fremantle’s AFLW list, the 187cm ruck/tall will now call RSEA Park home as replacement for Bethany Pinchin, who was moved to the inactive list earlier this week following ACL surgery.
Fielder was previously plying her trade for East Fremantle who finished runner-up in the WAFLW grand final on Sunday afternoon, the new Saint finishing with a season best 35 hit-outs.
“We can’t wait to welcome Emmelie to St Kilda,” EGM of AFLW Tessie McManus said.
“Emmelie is a raw and natural talent. We’re excited to have her athletic power and ruck craft strengthen our list ahead of this season.”
The 22-year old featured as the key ruck in the WAFLW state team earlier this year, collecting 22 hit-outs for the match against South Australia in a shared role.
Emmelie will become the fifth addition to the Saints' women's team this season, joining Kiera Whiley, Charlotte Simpson, Rene Caris and Paige Trudgeon.
