Mattaes Phillipou will be sidelined for three to four weeks with a hip injury.

The 19-year-old played out Saturday’s Round 17 game against Adelaide with very mild soreness, however scans have since revealed the extent of the injury.

“This is a disappointing setback for Mattaes, who has been incredibly diligent in his approach to this season,” Executive General Manager of Football David Misson said.

We’re confident he will attack this period of rehab with that same level of professionalism which will hopefully see him play again this year.

Meanwhile, Paddy Dow (ankle) and Anthony Caminiti (ankle) will both need to pass fitness tests to prove their eligibility this week.

Marcus Windhager continues to recover from his hamstring injury, while Max Hall will miss some football with a back concern.

Brad Crouch and Jack Hayes are both going through various stages of re-loading their knee injuries, with a more definitive timeline to be shared in the coming weeks.
