Rowan Marshall has furthered his push towards a maiden Trevor Barker Award, polling seven coaches' votes following Sunday's match against Richmond to sit well atop the Saints' tally.
Marshall's 25 hit-outs, 23 disposals and three goals were essential in his side's 48-point victory, with his physicality inside, effectiveness in front of goal and gut-running to find himself in space receiving recognition from coaches Ross Lyon and Adem Yze.
After floating in-and-out of pole position in St Kilda's coaches' votes tally for majority of this season, the Portland product now sits seven votes ahead of the second-placed Jack Sinclair, who earned four votes for his efforts off half-back and through the midfield.
Key defender Josh Battle levelled with Marshall with seven votes from Sunday's game, amassing 28 disposals, 11 intercepts and 10 marks to stave off multiple Richmond offensives, while Callum Wilkie was equally effective to earn three votes of his own.
Ian Stewart Medal winner Daniel Rioli was deemed best afield with nine votes to his name.
