When Maddie Riewoldt knew her five-year battle with bone marrow failure was ending, she asked her family to make sure her suffering would make a difference. Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision is that difference and has been established to fund medical research into finding new treatments, ultimately, with an aim to finding a cure.
Maddie’s Vision was established in 2015 following the passing of Maddie, sister of club champion Nick and cousin of Tigers’ forward, Jack Riewoldt.
“Bone Marrow Failure Syndrome is a condition that often affects young people and stops them from being able to produce blood cells and platelets every day,” Nick said.
“Football fans, time and time again, have proven to be extremely generous and supportive and I have no doubt that will be the same this year at Maddie’s Match.
“As a family, we are committed to continuing Maddie’s mission to help others who are fighting this horrible disease.”
