Rosie Dillon’s hard-hitting performance against Carlton has earned her the Dare Iced Coffee Sainter of the Round nomination for Round 3.
While there was no crowd to will her on at RSEA Park, the reigning Best & Fairest was uncompromising in her attack, racking up 14 disposals – all bar one were contested – and a game-high nine tackles and six clearances.
The tenacious 24-year-old offered plenty of grunt at stoppages, with her toughness under pressure and willingness to attack the contest a prominent feature as the Blues pressed their assault.
Even more commendable is the fact Dillon has been pushing through an ankle niggle since Round 1.
Dillon now sits on top of the club’s contested possessions (28), clearances (12) and tackles (24) count after three rounds, the latter of which she ranks third in the AFLW this season.
