St Kilda has finalised its first deal of this year’s AFLW Sign & Trade Period, with Poppy Kelly to join Richmond in exchange for pick No. 48 (Vic No. 28).
Kelly was a member of St Kilda’s inaugural AFLW list in 2020, joining the red, white and black at senior level after being elevated from the Southern Saints’ VFLW squad.
The 22-year-old ruck played six games for St Kilda across two seasons.
"We’d like to thank Poppy for her commitment to the club and her teammates over the past two seasons," Head of Women’s Football Jamie Cox said.
"Having only started her football journey a few years ago, Poppy has taken huge strides forward in her development and for that she should be very proud.
"We wish Poppy all the best for her time at Richmond and she will always be welcome at RSEA Park."
St Kilda currently holds pick No. 4, 22, 25, 39, 48 and 54, with pick No. 25 a priority selection.
