After their best four-quarter performance of the season, St Kilda will be looking to put together its fourth straight victory this Saturday against Port Adelaide.

Fresh off a 32-point win against the third-placed Lions, the Saints will head back home to Marvel Stadium where the challenge of the Power awaits. 

While Brett Ratten's men will be hoping to keep their momentum flowing, Port Adelaide will be looking at the game as the perfect chance to get back onto the winner's list following last week's loss to Melbourne.

With some outstanding performances coming from the VFL, the Saints have some healthy selection dilemmas facing them before Saturday night against the Power.

Jack Bytel

With the Zebras heading into the fourth quarter needing to put Essendon to the sword for a healthy percentage boost, Jack Bytel exploded in his best game of the year.

Returning from a concussion suffered in June, the 21-year-old midfielder would go ballistic in the final term on Sunday, collecting 17 disposals, nine contested possessions and six clearances to ensure Sandringham would run away as comfortable winners.

He would finish with 37 disposals (21 contested), 10 clearances, nine inside-50s and six tackles in an outstanding display that will almost certainly see his name brought forward at the selection table.

Bytel was last seen in the Round 13 loss to Adelaide as the medical sub, a role he has filled three times this season.

Jack Lonie

It was a day out on Sunday for Jack Lonie, who slotted five majors in an impressive display of pressure and forward craft.

The 24-year-old was impressive inside forward 50 and was relentless in pressure, presence and impact on the contest.

To go along with his haul, Lonie also collected 22 disposals, eight marks and five tackles as he tirelessly hounded the opposition defence.

Like Bytel, the Saints’ No. 13 was last seen in St Kilda colours against the Crows.

Darragh Joyce

In another solid performance for Sandringham down back, Darragh Joyce continues to put his hand up for a recall to the senior side.

Straight off a plane from Queensland after he was named as a travelling emergency, the Irishman was once again strong in defence, working well alongside Matthew Allison, Oscar Clavarino and the returning James Frawley, keeping the Bombers to only 10 goals.

It continues a commendable period for Joyce in VFL colours, having come off the back of two 22-disposal games against Richmond and Collingwood.

In Contention

Josh Battle will be looking to shred the medical sub vest and line up in the starting 22 against Port Adelaide this coming Saturday.

The 22-year-old swingman did not get any playing time in Queensland, so was able to line up for Sandringham to finish his afternoon at Wilson Storage Trevor Barker Beach Oval with 24 disposals, eight marks and six tackles.

With Battle having donned the medical sub role two weeks straight, the Saints’ swingman will be looking to do one better and take to the field come Saturday night.

Meanwhile, Paul Hunter delivered another strong performance in the ruck against Essendon.

The 28-year-old pulled down 37 hit-outs to go with his 16 disposals, eight tackles and a goal, ensuring the Zebras were able to get first use of the footy in the middle.

Dan Hannebery and James Frawley will continue to build fitness towards a return to the senior side while Nick Coffield and Jack Higgins are still a couple of weeks off a return to footy due to their respective injuries.
