Windhager is determined to live up to the esteemed mantle heading into his third season at St Kilda, furthering his skill and drive both in the engine room and in his new role off half-back.

The move to defence shaped as new territory for Windhager last season, who fought his way back into the side with help from Brendon Goddard to feature in 19 out of 24 matches.

With another powerful pre-season under his belt and his aerobic capacity cranking up another notch, Windhager could be on the path to another promising campaign as a key part of the club’s young core.
