Mattaes Phillipou has been named in St Kilda’s extended squad alongside three other potential inclusions to face the Lions on Sunday.
The midfielder/forward was in scintillating form, recording two goals and 46 disposals in his past two AFL outings, before a hip injury sidelined him in Rounds 19 and 20.
Phillipou is among four additions to the Saints’ squad, with veteran ruckman Tom Campbell, Paddy Dow and category B rookie Angus McLennan - who is yet to make his AFL debut - named on an extended interchange.
Hunter Clark will miss Sunday’s clash with minor calf tightness, while Marcus Windhager (hamstring) and Zaine Cordy (adductor) are closing in on returns before the end of the home-and-away season.
St Kilda’s final team will be confirmed at 5.00pm on Friday, with the substitute named one hour prior to the bounce on Sunday.
